Thank you, once again, for your quality workmanship in transforming my two-seater couch. I couldn't be more pleased.
It is so magnificent that I find myself staring at it all the time, as you'd do when viewing artwork. But, in a way, I feel it is artwork, given its strong and square lines.
It was a fortuitous coincidence when I'd parked next your truck in Yea, allowing me to read your sign-written contact details on the side of the truck.
It's a pleasure to know you in, and of course, (Mr) Red, the very handsome man that he is.
Best of thoughts, to you and yours, Ian.

I recently had the occasion to engage TopStitch Upholstery to give my 15-year-old Chesterfield three-piece lounge suite a whole new look; Ian has done an exceedingly wonderful job at a very economic and affordable price. Ian’s knowledge of fabrics and furniture is thorough and his advice and professional approach to the task is very encouraging. I will be more than happy to recommend TopStitch Upholstery to any others.
I was highly recommended to Ian McCormick at Topstitch a year ago to give me some ideas about two Jacobean-style armchairs and a small couch, which not only needed recovering but the innards also needed a check up. I was welcomed into a genuine “atelier” and provided with swatches to look over while Ian examined the pieces. He pronounced them dead on arrival and explained why – he is honest about the chances of survival and encourages clients to take their time in deciding whether to proceed on moribund but much loved pieces. He guided me through selection of fabric, where I was introduced to the world of how many rubs a particular fabric would withstand – colour is just one part of the process and he skilfully guided me away from unsuitable fabrics. Ian is a master of his work and a craftsman.
I collected the pieces and was impatient to get them home where they now look magnificent and yet warm in my home. He is a craftsman and master and I can’t thank him enough

As a lover of antique furniture, it was important that I find a craftsperson who would meet my high expectations when repairing and upholstering my lovely pieces. I found this in Ian and have not been disappointed.
Ian, of Topstitch Upholstery, Yea, recently re-upholstered my antique grandfather and grandmother chairs. I was thrilled with the end result. It was certainly a professional job carried out with great care. Dealing with Ian was a pleasure and he obviously takes great pride in his work. The work was completed within the time frame given.
Thank you, Ian.
Ian has upholstered numerous items for us over many years; we keep going back because we are a very satisfied customer. Passionate about his craft, he approaches his work with an enthusiasm that is evident in the quality of the finished product. Always extremely pleasant to deal with, Ian's quality is matched by his commitment to customer service. This is why we will continue to use Ian at Top Stitch Upholstery, as will our extended family in Melbourne.

I live in Melbourne and I love visiting nearby country towns in search of unusual bric-a-brac and old furniture. On a trip to Yea I found a bench seat from an old movie theatre made up of three seats. It was rather tatty but I could see that it had potential. Ian suggested rebuilding the internals, repolishing the frame and covering the seats in a very smart red and white striped canvas fabric. I must say that he did a fantastic job and I now have a very interesting and versatile addition to my home that always promotes positive comment from guests. I can even take it outside when entertaining outdoors, which is another aspect of its versatility. Thank you, Ian, for unlocking the hidden beauty of my lucky find.
Ian recovered a three-piece lounge suite for us and I couldn't be more pleased. It was quite a challenge as it was a very heavy old 1920ish Tudor suite. He stripped it back to bare bones and started from scratch and also took photos along the way to show us what was done. We now have a suite that will last us another 20/30/40 years. A beautiful job well done. Couldn't be happier.
I have known Ian for the past 10 years. He has worked on several pieces of furniture for me over this time. I have found him to be a most reliable and trustworthy person.
When renovating or upholstering, he always explains details of work as he progresses throughout the project. The standout impression that I always have is that Ian takes great pride in his work.
I am most pleased provide this testimonial for this skilled craftsmen.
Ian of Topstitch Upholstery has completed a number of jobs for me. The standout piece is an antique rocker 1920s nursing chair, completely stripped down, rebuilt and reupholstered. A truly brilliant restoration.
My apologies, Ian, for not contacting you earlier to thank you for the marvellous work you did on my old chairs.
My aunt and uncle would be so pleased to know that the old chair he made has been so lovingly restored.
Your enthusiasm for restoring a "tattered piece of old furniture" to something that is now a statement in my room was amazing.
Such craftsmanship, eye for detail and perfection is almost a lost art. You are a gem!
Thank you, Ian, for restoring my two chairs. I am thrilled with them both.
This note is to thank you again for your most professional work in re-upholstering our two antique chairs recently. I really appreciate the craftsmanship you have put in, to restore them to their original elegance. They look outstanding in the room and its surroundings.
You have made me very happy and delighted.
I am still going through the various fabrics for the chaise lounge, and when have come to an appropriate pattern and colour, we will be in touch with you.
